After 4 years, I had the chance to go back to China to visit my all friends and collegues in Nanjing. I was kind of excited, as I did not think that I could go before being too old to travel so fare… I was lucky enough to travel “business class”, the first time in my life…

It was time to walk around in the SouthEast University campus…
In between scientific discussions with students, I was lucky enough to be invited to attend a traditional Chinese wedding:
I had also the opportunity to visit two temples: wonderful!
I was also invited to a workshop in Chinese! And the PhD defense of one of my friend’s student… in Chinese too :-)!
I had planned to stay two weeks in Nanjing, but after ten days I got sick, a kind of flu with fever, coughting… I did not want to take the chance to end up with a lung infection, so we decided that it would better to leave earlier, so I left my friends again… ( In China now, there are a lot of lung infections, specially in children and ederlies).
Anyway, I enjoyed my visit so much! I had great times with my friends there! I don’t know wheter I will have the chance to go back to visit them in the future…
I am now in my eighth year after my hematopoietic stem cells transplant…. I am running around, although at somehow slow speed, being drugs free! What an achievement for the doctors at Saint Antoine Hospital, and in particular my great graft doctor! I love them all! Of course, I thank my wonderful family and my stem cells donor!
